Not My Own Fault
The sight of film on a silver screen
Lost its charm, lost its charm so long ago
I can't remember when actors and plastic scenary
Made me forget that it was all just a show
My radio is broken every day
I turn the dial but the song remains unchanged
Oh what I'd give to fall in love all over again
Like I did way back when
But I cashed in my heart for some copper in exchange
Oh please, help me
I can't feel my skin
Is it me or just this state I'm in?
Could be the weather, could be the tide,
Could be I lost my mind,
Or it might just not be my own fault this time
I walk on the street in the stream of a crowd
Whose anthem bellows a thousand paces loud
It's times like these I wish all my friends were here
But all they seem to do is disappear
Oh please, help me
I can't feel my skin
Is it me or just this place I'm living in?
Could be the weather, could be the tide,
Could be I lost my mind,
Or it might just not be my own fault this time
